Teacher Bio

My Philosophy

I am excited to help develop your student's skills in reading, writing, and grammar during our class. I believe in including tons of fun activities such as hands-on projects, research opportunities, guest speakers, media, creative writing and much, much more. I have a creative approach to learning that will hopefully help to inspire students interest in learning and language arts.

My Education Background

I possess a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the University of Central Florida and a certification for teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). I taught ESOL for six years prior to transitioning into the public schools. I have additional experience working for a study abroad organization. I am currently pursuing my Masters in Education at the University of Central Florida.

My Hobbies

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, cooking, and of course, reading. Some of my favorite genres include historical fiction, women’s literature, and biographies. I speak a little bit of Spanish and I am always interested in learning about different cultures and cuisines.
